In May of 2022, Rapper Kidd Creole was sentenced to sixteen years incarceration for stabbing to death a homeless man in New York City.

Kidd had been found guilty by a jury in April of 2022.

According to police, the stabbing occurred after the victim asserted that Kidd was gay and offered him a sexual encounter.

Kidd left the scene, washed his clothes and the murder weapon.

Kidd’s counsel promised to appeal the decision.

Kidd was part of Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five.

Kidd was part of the first rap group inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2007.
